Pneumatic Vibrator Cradle
We have developed a state of art pneumatic vibrator cradle (applicator) which is used in sleeper, pole and precast plants and helps reduce manpower requirement and effort by more than half. The cradle is fixed below the mould (or bench) in inverted position. Eight to ten cradles, depending on the type of sleeper being casted (BG or turnout), are fixed at predefined places and all the vibrators are controlled by one just operator, thereby reducing effort as well as workers on the casting floor.
The cradle is made from sturdy 10 mm MS sheet and pillars are hardened and ground for long life. The pneumatic cylinder is fitted below ground level and all ten cylinders are operated by a dedicated air compressor. Vibration pads have pins for easy change of vibrators even during casting. 1.5 KW light weight vibrators are used in the cradles.
